02 / SOUND

A simple signal path. Its own character.

01

Three waveforms, one VCO

Mix a 50% square, triangle and sine sharing one oscillator phase. Sine character adds gentle harmonics.

02

The original envelope idea

Attack, a held stage while the key is down, and release. No invented extra decay stage.

03

Vibrato and tremolo

Two independent 4–8 Hz LFOs, each with its own rate and modulation depth.

04

Glissando and legato

Smooth transitions in the frequency domain. Last-note priority, legato or a new attack.

05

MIDI and automation

±2-semitone pitch bend, mod wheel, sustain, velocity response and 16 host parameters.

06

Five starting points

Original, Soft reed, Bass, Lantern and Glide. Project state recall; custom presets through your host.

03 / INSTALLATION

Choose the format used by your project.

VSTi / VST2

Copy Minisynton.dll into your VST2 folder. Add the path in REAPER’s VST preferences and rescan.

C:\VST64\Minisynton.dll

VST3i

Copy the entire Minisynton.vst3 folder into the common VST3 directory. Keep its internal structure intact.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

Test results, not promises.

47 VST3 validator tests passed. REAPER 7.82/x64 under Wine restored different saved skins for both formats in version 1.1. Version 1.2 passed test-host suites and Legato switch checks.

Tests ran under Wine, not native Windows with hardware ASIO. Switching skins was also tested during audio processing: samples remained identical.

Good to know

Is this an exact hardware replica?

It is an independent functional interpretation based on the article and its corrections. It is not a transistor-by-transistor simulation or a measurement-calibrated sound replica.

Will a skin change keep my settings?

The selector changes only the appearance of the same instance. Save with Ctrl+S to retain the chosen skin. Back up libraries and projects before the one-time 1.0 update. There is no automatic VST2 ↔ VST3 migration.

What is translated into English?

The website and guides are available in Polish and English; every ZIP includes both languages. Parameter labels and the APPEARANCE selector use English; the existing dedication text has been kept.

Does it run on macOS or ARM?

These files target Windows x64 on Intel/AMD only. They are not 32-bit or native macOS, Linux or ARM builds.
